A Promise to Keep - Tribute to Cortana

I've wanted to do this ever since the I finished Halo 2.

7 years, 2 months later, I've finally mustered up both the artistic skill and sentimental courage required to complete this task. With my inspiration reignited by youtube singer, Malukah's, very own tribute to Cortana, Frozen Sleep (for those of you who know her songs, yes the pun was absolutely intended), I've managed to stuff into this painting all of my love and respect for the greatest video game franchise ever created.

more specifically, the scene illustrates the ending of Halo 4, when Cortana, broken from saving the chief from the didact with  her rampant data, says good by to him, and disappears into a matrix of corrupted coding.
Can't help but choke up every time i watch it ;_;

i don't care what anyone says, 343 has taken Halo to a whole new level, and i will continue to give my love and support to the franchise and its characters.
